Three Spring-Ford students recently finished among the state’s top high school journalists in the Keystone Student Media Awards competition, sponsored by the Pennsylvania News Media Association. Seniors Regan Schlesinger and Max Barnaik, as well as graduate Austin Stewart, received honorable mentions in their respective categories for their work on Rampage, Spring-Ford High School’s student newspaper.
Schlesinger, Rampage’s Managing Editor, won honorable mention in the Features Story category for her article, “Behind the scenes of Spring-Ford Theater’s play-selection process.” Barnaik, Rampage’s Photography Editor, won honorable mention in the Sports Photo category for his football photo in the fall issue. Stewart, a staff writer, won in the Review category for his music review, “Kendrick Lamar’s album pleasantly surprises fans,” that ran last spring.
The winning students will be honored in a ceremony this April in Harrisburg. All student news and stories can be found at the Rampage website sframpage.org
