Beginning Sept. 1, members of the junior class are permitted to be recruited by the best Division 1 NCAA schools in the country.

Spring-Ford juniors Julia Corropolese and Morgan Lester committed to Division 1’s Bucknell University and Saint Joseph’s University, respectively, to continue their academic and athletic careers this past fall.

Corropolese, a field hockey player, committed to Bucknell University. She cited their academics, welcoming field hockey team, and amazing coaches as factors in her decision.

“I am most excited to be a part of the team, compete at a high level with other talented players, and receive a great education,” Corropolese said. “I can’t wait to meet new people throughout the university and start the next chapter of my life and career. I stepped onto the campus and it just felt like home.”

Lester committed to Saint Joseph’s University.

“I chose Saint Joe’s because of the outstanding academics and the amazing softball program,” she said. “I felt a strong connection with the coaching staff and the ability to play close to home was an added bonus as well.”
