Spring-Ford’s undefeated softball team will have a say at the state tournament.

Behind Brianna Peck’s perfect game on the mound and two-run home run at the plate, the Rams earned an 8-0 victory over Garnet Valley in Royersford on Friday to clinch a trip to the District One Class 6A semifinals and a berth to the PIAA state tournament.

Peck struck out 15 batters in the flawless pitching performance, allowing only six hitters to make contact. As a hitter in the second spot in the lineup, the sophomore reached base on every at-bat (two hits and two walks) while adding a pair of runs and RBIs.

The Rams lineup proved impressive, with Noelle Reid, Jules Ryan, Madison Walsh, and Ashley Della Guardia contributing two hits apiece to the victory. Della Guardia, who led the team with three RBIs, also hit one of the Rams’ three doubles along with teammates Reid, Peck, and Ryan.

The victory is the undefeated Rams’ 23rd in a season that has earned them a PAC championship and No. 1 seed in the district tournament.

The Rams will play the winner of Downingtown West and Conestoga in the semifinal round.
