Spring-Ford junior Matt Zollers, one of the top quarterback recruits in the nation, announced his intention to attend the University of Missouri during a press conference at the high school Thursday.
The big decision, which Zollers said he was still mulling over this morning, came down to his fit in the program.
“I felt most comfortable (at Missouri),” Zollers said. “My No. 1 priority was finding who I connect best with, both players and the coaches, and I feel it was best there.”
Zollers led the Rams to a 9-3 record this past fall, while throwing for a school record of 2,917 yards and 37 touchdowns.
Along with Missouri, Zollers was scouted by many other top-tier college programs including finalists Penn State, Georgia, and Pittsburgh, among numerous others.
The decision was revealed during a video shared at the press conference showing his time playing football with the Spring-Ford Rams that then transitioned to show him going to Missouri.
Zollers put on a Missouri hoodie for the remainder of the event after the video, the big decision finally revealed.
