Spring-Ford High School’s girls basketball team is one win away from a historical season, led by a group of seniors playing in the second state championship game of their careers.
The Rams (25-5) will travel to the Giant Center in Hershey to face District 12’s Cardinal O’Hara (25-4) in the PIAA 6A State Championship Game at 6 p.m. tonight. Spring-Ford and O’Hara reach the state championship after second-place finishes in District One and District 12, respectively. The game will be broadcast live on the Pennsylvania Cable Network.
Seniors Aaliyah Solliday, Anna Azzara, and Mac Pettinelli return to the state championship for the first time since the Rams reached the final in their ninth-grade seasons (2021). That team fell short of the championship in a 55-40 loss to North Allegheny.
Spring-Ford previously won a state championship in the 2012-13 season.
