Spring-Ford junior Mia Matriccino put together a historic season for the Rams, finishing with a bronze medal at the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association State Singles Championship. The medal was the first in program history for the Rams.

The junior preceded her history-making performance with a trip to the District One semifinals and a third consecutive Pioneer Athletic Conference Championship.

Spring-Ford Girls Tennis put together another great season as a team. Returning senior Cady Krause and juniors Matriccino, Evelyn Mejia, Alexis Luo and Chloe Moore all contributed to the team’s fourth straight PAC championship.
After a 19-3 overall record last year, it would seem difficult to replicate another spectacular campaign. But the Rams did just that.

At the conclusion of regular season play, the team headed into the PAC playoffs. The doubles team of Krause and Mejia took 2nd place and Moore and Luo took 3rd in the league tournament.

Following PAC playoffs, the team advanced to districts. There, they made a run to the quarterfinals. The girls beat Wissahickon, 4-1, to move to the semis and a loss to eventual state and district champion Conestoga.

The win against Wissahickon secured the Rams a spot in states, though.

Congratulations to seniors Krause, Ayushi Jain, Bryn Frankhouser and Alexis Grotell on their ended their Spring-Ford tennis careers with some great accomplishments.
