The Spring-Ford softball team reached the first state championship game in program history with a 2-0 victory over North Penn at Boyertown High School on Monday in the PIAA 6A Semifinals.
The Rams (22-2) will travel to Penn State’s Beard Field to face Seneca Valley (15-6) on Friday at 4 p.m. in the state final.
Spring-Ford senior Jules Scogna pitched seven scoreless innings in the victory over the defending state champion Knights on Monday. Left-fielder Allie Wescott highlighted a strong defensive outing for the Rams, with a diving catch for the final out.
Spring-Ford won games against St. Hubert’s, Penn Manor, and the Knights for their trip to the PIAA final. Seneca Valley defeated Central Dauphin, Quakertown, and Pennsbury.
