Spring-Ford’s girls tennis served up some history in Hershey on Saturday night as it captured the program’s first state championship.

No. 1 singles player Mia Matriccino and the doubles teams of Lucy Olsen and Emily Tiffan as well as Alexis Luo and Evelyn Mejia led the Rams to a 3-2 victory over Latrobe in the finale.

Matriccino completed her dual-meet season a perfect 14-0. Olsen and Tiffan (12-2) and Luo and Mejia (15-0) finished their dual-meet seasons with stellar records as well.

The Rams earlier upended Southern Lehigh in the semifinals, 4-0, where Isabel Mejia added a win at second singles in straight sets along with all of the other winners from the final.
