Staff Report

Jack McGill (152 pounds), Joey Milano (182), and Louis Carbajal (195) capped a big weekend for Spring-Ford wrestling by earning silver medals at the Class AAA South East Regional championships at Souderton High School on Saturday.

Five Rams earned trips to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association state championships. Dominic Ortlip (fourth at 106) and Quinn Tobin (fifth at 132) will join McGill, Milano, and Carbajal in Hershey for the state tournament.

The trip to Hershey’s Giant Center is the third for McGill and the second for Milano, who earned a fourth-place medal at states last year. Carbajal, Ortlip, and Tobin will be first-time participants.

The Rams finished second in the team standings, continuing a tremendous season that saw them win the Pioneer Athletic Association team title and the District One Duals crown.

Coach Tim Seislove added to the banner evening for the Rams by earning Class AAA Wrestling Coach of the Year honors. Seislove is the first Spring-Ford coach to receive the award.
