The Rams finished in third place at the prestigious Bethlehem Holiday Wrestling Classic the last weekend in December. Spring-Ford finished with 148 team points, trailing only winner Nazareth and runner-up Northampton in the team standings.
“All of the Spring-Ford wrestlers did an excellent job,” head coach Tim Seislove said. “Brackets were 28-to-30 participants deep.”
Juniors Joey Milano (182) and Jack McGill (152) paced the Rams with first-place finishes at the tournament. Zach Needles (138) showed tremendous resilience, shaking off a first-round loss at the tourney with a third-place finish. Needles defeated Saucon Valley’s Jacob Jones, who he lost to in the first round, by virtue of an 8-2 decision in the third-place match.
Quinn Tobin (132) earned a fifth-place medal, Alex Johns (145) captured sixth, Sean Brogan (heavyweight) earned seventh, and Xavier Cushman (160) earned eighth place.
